The short version
This site does not ask you to create an account, and it does not collect your name, email address, or payment details. It uses Google Analytics to understand which guides people find useful, and it may serve ads through Google AdSense. Both set cookies.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4 records pages visited, approximate location (country or city level, derived from IP address), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. IP addresses are anonymised by GA4 before storage.
This is used in aggregate to decide which topics to write about next. It is not used to identify individual visitors, and the data is not sold or shared with third parties beyond Google as the processor.
Advertising
This site may display ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings.
For visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, a consent prompt is shown before any advertising or analytics cookies are set, as required by the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR.
